Director of Design & Production
John brings more than 20 years of advertising, marketing and production experience to Scout. In managing teams of various disciplines, he has become versed in both traditional and nontraditional campaign development in the print, digital & broadcast realms.
Over the years he’s filled staff positions with boutique and blue-chip agencies including Campbell Mithun, Ground Zero, and Ogilvy Los Angeles. At Ogilvy, as Managing Director for their RedWorks division, he substantially grew the business and managed offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles, delivering laser- focused direct marketing, video content and other digital assets for clients including Cisco, Mattel, BP, Motorola & Nature Made.
Creative Director & Content Strategist
Max Bean has been working in “online” since before 468x60 and 10K were the standard and an entire website fit on a floppy disk (and, yes, he knows that none are the standard any longer).
He worked as an Associate Creative Director at Ogilvy & Mather after helping to open Organic’s newly formed Los Angeles office, which was embedded with BBDO to service Mitsubishi Cars. He has worked with some of the industry’s trailblazing interactive shops such as Lot 21, Left Field, Thrivepoint & EVB (which he also co-founded). He has also worked with more “traditional” agencies helping them to round out their offerings and integrate marketing efforts. Those agencies include Team One, Saatchi & Saatchi, Anderson & Lembke and AKQA. Max has worked on such clients as Microsoft, Bank of America, Hilton, Universal Pictures, PBS, Sunny D, Old Spice, Showtime, Acura, Doublemint, Activision and PUR water to name a dozen.
Executive Creative Director
Rob brings over 25 years of experience in digital marketing, brand building and omni-channel content development, having partnered with numerous Fortune 500 brands including adidas, Bank of America, Cisco, Coca-Cola, Disney, Google, Kraft Foods, Mattel and Warner Bros.
Rob served as Senior Vice President, Executive Creative Director at advertising agencies such as Grey Advertising and Ogilvy & Mather, as Senior Vice President, Managing Director of media agency, Dentsu Aegis’ Carat, and most recently, Chief Creative Officer at XPRIZE Foundation, a technology innovation catalyst.
He is a trusted advisor who has helped global brands navigate the complex digital landscape of mobile, social, content and data, driving strategic vision in an increasingly digital world, consistent with the ever-shifting landscapes of emerging media, loyalty, engagement and content marketing.
